The updated ALS App supports people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in documenting their disease course from home through structured digital self-assessment and the capture of ALS-related information. The App is available in English and now also offers Swedish and Finnish versions, supporting broader use across countries and research networks.

The ALS App supports patients with ALS in longitudinal tracking of their disease course, self-documentation, and participation in ALS research.
The key features include:
- Self-assessment using the ALS Functional Rating Scale-Revised (ALSFRS-R-SE)
- Display of disease trajectory with an ALSFRS-R-SE chart
- Display of the biomarker Neurofilament Light chain (NfL) with the NfL chart (where available for study participants)
- Scan function for documents such as doctors’ letters, reports, and other documents
