ALS Center App is now available worldwide across mobile, web and desktop

Patient-reported ALS disease-course data at a glance

The ALS Center App is now available worldwide – providing healthcare professionals and researchers at ALS centers with cross-platform access to patient-reported ALS disease-course data. The ALS Center App is available on the App Store and Google Play, as a web application, and as a desktop application for Windows and Linux computers.

The ALS Center App connects with patient-reported ALS disease-course data collected remotely through the ALS App. People with ALS can perform longitudinal self-assessments using the self-explanatory version of the ALS Functional Rating Scale-Revised (ALSFRS-R-SE). These assessments can be made available to the respective ALS center. Where available, neurofilament light chain (NfL) measurements can also be displayed alongside the functional data, providing complementary information on the individual disease course.

Structured data views for ALS centers

Using the ALS Center App, healthcare professionals can visualize patient-reported ALS disease-course data collected via the ALS App in a structured manner.

  • ALS Center dashboard: cumulative center-level information, including patient numbers, data completeness and assessment intervals, providing an overview of the patient-reported data available at the center.
  • Individual patient view: longitudinal ALSFRS-R-SE self-assessments, ALS progression information and, where available, repeated NfL measurements. Zoom and filter functions support focused and item-level review of the individual disease trajectory.

By bringing longitudinal functional assessments and, where available, biomarker information together in one environment, the ALS Center App supports reviewing and analyzing individual longitudinal disease progression over time in clinical and research settings.

Flexible access across devices and platforms
